Quick question; I needed a place to put my probes and I ended up using a small block of foam from an insulation cooler as a floatie for my probes. Is there any danger of the foam disintegrating or leaching something?

I've seen some places use pool noodle cut outs to suspend mangrove seeds. Perhaps that's buoyant enough for your equipment. Don't insulation foams have a sliver of metal that peels off on the outsides?

This foam is from a styro shipping box with no liner. The pool noodle idea is great though. I'm going to do that instead, thanks!
