i have read up on Gonipora, and I see many things refer to it as non photosynthetic, but it’s also recommended for moderate lighting??

I’m confused. Does it need light to be healthy or is it NPS??

I currently have it placed in Dee shade, and it isn’t opening.

zomg... OK. that explains it. I moved it to the edge of the cliff I want it on and its in the light now!! yaya. It already looks a little better :-)

Goniopora is a lps coral. it is notoriously hard to keep coral. I personally have one for almost 4 months now. In order to enjoy your goniopora, I would just say have good amount of fishes in tank. And try keeping your nitrate levels around 5-10ppm, IME, they do well with nitrates in tank.
Dose phyto and zooplankton, I spot feed. :)
