Hello world meet Fredward, he has been a member of my tank for about a week and a half now. I’ve tried feeding him 2 times now, the first time the peppermint shrimp climbed on top of him and stole his food. The second time I protected him from the shrimp but he never seemed to take it. He has yet to really fill out or extend his tentacles Do you guys have any advice?

I did temp acclimation with no lights, drip acclimation, then I poured him into an acclimation box with rocks in it and lowered it to the bottom. He chilled there for about 30 minutes then ballooned up and hid for a day before attaching near where he is in the picture and has been there ever since.

this helps thanks! what about the current flow in there and current par? if both of those are normal and what they should be, another possibility could be that the shrimp is bothering him and causing him to keep himself retracted, my shrimp does that to my corals too.

For flow I have 2 reef octopulse 2s running up to 45% at their peak and 2 kessil ap9x lights hitting their max of 20% intensity. I don’t have a way to measure par. Just basing my settings off BRS and the settings they came up with. It’s a 75 gallon tank btw

It looks good. Give it a few days to acclimate. No need to feed it. Feeding it during acclimation may stress it out. Let it get comfortable, then feed it if you like in a couple of weeks.
