This is a total victory, it looks like the Carolina algae began not only to grow, but also to reproduce on the acrylic shelf. It's them, isn't it? So far, it is scratched quite easily with my fingernails. I'm happy about that, because I think it's a good sign that I've achieved good water quality.

I'm going to spend a couple weeks in Bryson City next month. I love it out there. The tranquility is a much needed respite from the city.
I just didn't really understand what you meant by that, no offense.
 
Definitely looks like coralline algae to me!
oh, if you are here... Have you ever used vinegar and peroxide to spray and kill hair algae ouside of the tank? Cause i need to get rid of them (till roots) in old parts of scape? will it be somehow harmfull?

Also, as far as i know, hair algae and other junk will badly or even fully won`t grow on caroline, is it right?
