Hello,
I've been struggling with briopis and GHA for a long time. My nems began moving and disappeared until today. It's very shrunk and discolored is there any way of it coming back? Also briopis is for the most part eliminated.

Maybe, but in the 3 anems I've killed over 4 years once they go, they go.
If it looks like that guy, gonner for sure.

I have not seen one come back after that, but that is not to say it isn't possible. OrionN had a thread here documenting a way to help them get their zooxanthelae back by using donor tentacles from another healthy nem. But, for that to be an option they have to be ready to eat and semi inflated.

That was 4-5 months ago...i just following up, cause i want to hear success stories...
Sorry I was saying du to myself since I was replying to the OP. I've been doing that too often lately. I too like to see a follow up be the news good or bad.

I've not had luck bringing one back that far gone but it isn't mush yet so maybe there's a chance.

Du Old Post
Yea I didn't have much hope sadly. I fed it brine shrimp for about 2 weeks but it sadly died off. I guess it's possible for it to have moved somewhere and I haven't seen it or there are other babies waiting to be discovered

We never asked, but now i (am guessing) understand, yeah my guess is your phos and nitrates(nitrates+phosphates =fertilizer) are abundant. So yeah def get tour tank in check and try again. Anems are great. Happy reefing!!

I’ve seen them bounce back from the little mush balls I had one piece of a bubble that I used aptasia x on several times as well as kalk paste and the thing kept coming back….they were taking over my tank and I couldn’t give any more away
And no my lfs wouldn’t give me any credit even though they would sell them for 65 bucks!

My RBTA split. one half is at the top of the overflow box, the other is attached to a rock and has looked like this for two months. It isn't dead, and it isn't really coming back. I just leave it be and we shall see.

Never say never in this hobby.

I’ve had things disappear and reappear weeks and sometimes months later.
