Is it worth keeping one chromis?

I have a trio in my 75. They shoal together all day and srap a bit right before lights out. Had them probably 3 years now. They are getting pretty big. I think the middle one is male and the other 2 female.

AI is just regurgitating info it finds, some may be accurate some is not.
IME they do fine alone. My single survivor from my last group of 7 that killed each other off lived alone for years. I can't vouch for it's happiness ;) but it was healthy and even one if the few survivors of a velvet outbreak.
You may want to research chromis and euronema so you know the signs to look for. Many of the chromis entering the hobby show up with euronema and have a low survival rate.

Thank you. So I take it from that article that quarantine for this disease isn't highly effective, and that if I do put an infected fish in my community, it is unlikely to spread to the other fish?

I was never able to keep a group of chromis. I tried up to seven specimens of the same species added at the same time. Tried several different "peaceful" only species and I find that none of them are peaceful.

Every single time they killed each other one by one until there's only one left. Then he will start to harass the most peaceful fish you got.

I've seen a group in huge tanks, perhaps thats the only way, but maybe they killed each other also.
