Just got one and when I released him into my reef, my Desjardin got suuuuper aggressive that I thought the Lemark was done for. The next day, the Lemark was swimming like nothing ever happened. I think the Desjardin was just letting it know who the king of the tank is. I started noticing right away that the Lemark is a fish that shows its not afraid of other tank mates, making itself known as well. It like to graze on the rocks and seems to pic on the rocks all day.

Is Lamarck's Angelfish really reef safe I plan to get one for my125G reef tank I like this fish any experience with this fish please
I would say not, unfortunatelly i m in trouble with this jerks that stress an huge amount of lps (cata, hyndo, cyna etc..) very hard to fish this guy now been tank full of rocks and corals as well

I know this is an older thread, but for anyone researching this fish for their reef, I wanted to add my experience.
I have a small male in my 90 gal display and he absolutely is picking at corals. It seems he only prefers to nip at some LPS right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's nipping at others too. I had to remove my scoly and diaseris plates because he almost killed them. A couple of my encrusting lps are pretty unhappy right now because of him.
If I had a way to catch him, he'd be gone already, but he's fast and small so no way, unless I can train him to a fish trap, which I might try.

Bottom line, these fish are hit or miss. Some are totally reef safe, others develop a taste for coral. FWIW, I recently had to remove a powder blue and hippo tang that were nipping at my acros! I've had bad luck with fish lately, lol
