is my 250 gyre defective?

I was cleaning my pumps today and one of my gyres has a bit of rust on the magnet and where the cord is i am not sure if it is sealed properly

Exposed wiring in the first photo concerns me. I’d check the magnet for signs of swelling, those magnets are prone to let water in and then swell and seize the pump. Fairly cheap to replace though. I keep spares on hand.

Looks more like detritus to me.
On the top photo yes that is detritus, but that picture was intended to show the wiring, the second photo shows the rust, top corner of the magnet.

Me too, The pump is still fairly new, I got it in March this year
