you can also try to shine a flashlight at it without catching the reflection to the best of your ability.

I find using a flashlight works best and you don't have to mess around changing the tank lights.

Just an example I shot last night with just an led flashlight.

I just added it two days ago but it settled in well and appears to be eating. I'm starting an 8g nano NPS tank with a high fin goby as the only fish so I'm not too concerned about a tank wipe out.

If your anemones survival depends upon these photos then I think it’s done.

It looks gone to me. It looks like some of mine that have been in dark storage for a long time by accident.
If you decide to try again maybe post up tank some tank info, lighting etc first and see what folks think?
