How about a question rather than an answer? What about the way it looks has you concerned?

BTW, it doesn't look quite as open as it might be. But that could be because it's new to the tank or at least this location. Or it could be that it's still growing and is currently smaller than it will be in 6 months.

Sorry about that and yes it's new to the tank got it in yesterday! Just wanted to know if it was in a proper location and open

Not completely open. Should get significantly bigger in the next few days. If not, then move it closer to the light.
