is my BTA sick?

This is my first BTA and I'm not sure if it's doing well, please help.

When I first put mine in he looked worse, thought he was a goner.... Year later he won't stop splitting. Let him settle on and once he does you can try to spot feed him.

I was worried because of some dark brown slime (guessing poo) was coming from it,and I haven't been able to get it to eat and I've had it for about 2 weeks now.

Mine look similar when there expelling waste, I agree give it time.

It's probably just pooping, mine would shrivel up, expel brown stuff, look horrible with stringy looking tentacles, then the next day or two be back to beautiful. I'd give it some time, don't be surprised if it decides to move. Good luck.
