Is my hammer dead?

Got a hammer 1 week ago. Was doing perfectly fine till i saw my hermit one day eating at it and it had fallen off the rock. Now 2 days later it fully receded and you can see the skeleton. The little tentacles are completely loose and not puffy and it looks dead. The head at the back looks alive and there’s a new head at the bottom that’s also alive i think ? Any ideas if it’s save able or should i just take the L. I’ll attach pics of it when it’s was open and the ones now.

It’s not dead yet but close.. just leave it alone because sometimes they do bounce back from the dead.. if you see a brown jelly thou get it out of there quick..
