hi, I recently got a hammer coral around one month ago. initially, I dipped him and put him on my rock, however didn’t seem very happy for the first week as he didn’t open up so I moved him to my live sand bed and is finally starting to open up!

I haven’t started testing for calcium or magnesium, however all the other water parameters stable as well as alk.

I have also heard talk about the flesh band indicating health and this guy has a good looking flesh band. Please give me advice as i an a first time hammer caregiver.

This is not an emergency. They don't like to be directly on the sand because it irritates them. 125 par and low flow. Male sure you have proper nutrients level parameters.
