Is my linckia dead

It went missing 2 weeks back and today I suspect my goby uncovered it in the sand.
It's still full of color but so far not moving.

little guy? i'd just leave it alone, they aren't always active, and screwing with it won't help.

It's only 1/2 inch.
He was pretty active when I first found out then vanished for 2 weeks. I thought it had been eaten

A small one may find enough food to survive. They eat bacteria off rocks or so they say so him digging around is probably good.

Well I went to bed and it was on the sand where I left it. Woke at 3am and checked. Still there.
Got up at 6am and it was no where to be found.

finding a half inch anything in a reef tank is hard if not impossible... Next year he might be 1 inch and you might see him again ;)
