Hi had this LTA in my tank for about 4 months. Been absolutely fine untill 2 weeks ago when it was lay on the sand bad. (My 2 BTA are looking fine) it's stiff to touch/hold but is also responsive to me touch it. Refusing to attach to rock tank bottom. Is it due to die? Water parameters are all okay apart from phosphate which is a little high but not mega high. But was fine 2 weeks ago when this all started.

They using bury their foot in sand and attach to a rock or glass bottom under the sand. I buried the foot of mine at a rock sand interface and it has stayed there as it grows.

OK, I can’t think of anything else to do except trap it there with rocks while it slowly takes hold. Dig the hole right against the rock surface.

If the mouth stays open, an antibiotic treatment might be in order, but that’s a long and tedious procedure outside the tank.
