Is my nem savable?

BTA I bought a few months ago when i really shouldnt have. I had the current marine USA lights that were definitely not strong enough, so he bleached. I have 2 mars aqua 165 watts now and want to nurse him back to health. He accepts food sometimes, he never grabs it though, and only when hes in a position where the food can sit on him will he eat it. Hes been hiding from the light, im guessing because he lost the zooanthelle. I dont know much about nems, but really want him to live. Does he look savable or not? If so what should i do? 0 ammonia 0 nitrites 20 nitrates.

He looks rough but I would say he still has a chance. Just keep an eye on him and if it looks like he is starting to shred make sure you pull him out. Poor little guy. :(

Does he have any color in him at all? Looks like there's still a little bit. What color was he when you bought him?

Thanks for the help. I didnt know light was the problem until a month ago. I really wish i would have done more research. Im going to do what i can to help him though

Honestly, I doubt light was the problem. The Orbit Marine Pro light should be able to support a nem. Not sure how old your tank is but I'm guessing it is under 6 months, or at least was when you got him. There are lot of equilibriums when it comes to water chemistry and the way it interacts with the rock and substrate. It takes many months for the proper balance to be achieved.

Ah, not sure how I missed that! Might be the lights then. Just give it time, nems are delicate but they can be surprisingly resilient also.
