I know that I am probably going to seem like an idiot, but I honestly don't know and have been told both by spposed experts.

I have an Innovative Marine NUVO Concept Abyss Panoramic Drop Off Tank. Here is the ID Tag:

I know that they started making the newer ones from glass, but I can't tell if this one is glass or acrylic. And, I can't find any reference on IM's website. Is there any tests I can do to find out myself?

Thanks so much

Also, the reason that I am asking is because I am considering drilling the back for a couple of bulkheads to add a sump.

Generally speaking, an acrylic tank will not have any silicone used in it anywhere.

Yes photos of the tank and close ups on the corners could definitely help.

When IM went to glass, the sump section ran along the tank whereas the acrylic had it at short length. Also glass has black silicone

Have you googled the make and model? I just did and found the answer on the first click. I like to teach people to fish - google “Nuvo 0905”
