My 180 Is a little over a year old. I am wanting to get a BTA green and 2 gold stripe maroon clowns.
The tank has 4 fish at the moment(purple tang, hippo tang, atlantic blue tang and a gold head goby) there is also a cleaner shrimp and a cuc.
Do you think the tank is ready for a nem and a couple of clowns?

Thanks,
Jim

I would say it's a go, but if you can, get the BTA first and let it settle a few weeks to a month. Maroons can be pretty brutal on anemones, so any extra time to settle is worth the wait.

Yep good to go! Make sure you have something over your pumps so that it doesnt get sucked in while it is trying to find a spot

right on point!

go for it! and definitely let the anemone settle in before adding clowns. the less stress the better

Maroon clowns in a tank can be pretty brutal especially if they start breeding. Then the other fish will have to issues. [emoji1]

My thoughts were to get them at the same time because I'm not real fond of my LFS right now so I was thinking of mail order but I will try and get the nem first sounds like the best way to go.

I don't have any pumps just a Jebao DC12000 seems like plenty of flow for what I have now but pumps are in my future I'm sure.

Being a 180 with about 200lbs of rock hopefully the can stay out of each others way.

Thanks for the advice guys.
