I have had this torch for a couple of months. My ALK is pretty constant between 8.5 to 9 DKH. All other parameters have been consistent, my New York Knicks torch is thriving and so is the smaller on in the back. Any ideas if this is splitting or if it is dying? I am not sure but it is receding on the sides a little bit. The mouth also looked extended in the middle.

Calc is 450 Mg is 1300 salinity is 1.026 po4 is 0.05 nitrates 10 ppm. The torch in the back is the same kind and looks fine
Numbers look good, so flow and lighting would be next but if the one close to it is OK then perhaps a pest. I had GHA get into one of my torch heads and mess it up. Maybe an RX dip?

Splitting is a several months long process. It looks like it was in the process of starting to split but has stopped and is basically in survival mode. The tissue recession isn’t great, it can come back from it, but it’ll be a slow process. I would put it somewhere with lower, but direct light (so near the bottom not directly under a light) and gentle flow and give it some time.

Is this known as a pinched head?

right now my lighting isnt super intense, would moving it stress it out? I also have coral RX if a dip is a good idea.
