Hi guys, I haven't had my tank or my Torch coral very long, and while it's looking happy, I was surprised to see this tiny littl growth at it's base. Is this a new head starting to grow? It's about 0.02

0" in diameter right now

Usually torch's split their heads, not sure what that is.

Sometimes they spawn and that looks like what I have seen from other peoples reports.

I'm not sure, unfortunately that poor guy's glue failed while I was out of town and he spent some days on his head and ultimately died. My guess is this was snail eggs or some other kind of eggs.
