Is oversizing a calc reactor fine?

Is an oversizing a calc reactor going to be a problem?

No, but you don't need to. If you get TOO big, then your dKh from the effluent will barely be more than the tank and it might not be stable. You need a good, solid melt to keep things stable. I have run CaRx 3-5x larger than recommended and they are fine, but I would not go 10-20x unless you have upgrade plans soon.

That is true! Which dastaco would be good for using now on a 525xl and for use on a 300gal system later? If you happen to know? Thank you!

I have no idea. I use a traditional reactor and not the DaStaCo type. There are some people around who use them, but you might have to put DaStaCo in the thread title.
