Just noticed today theres some scale like stuff hanging on my clownfish and seems like some skin damage around the area. Also it feel like every single scale is very visible which wasnt the case (but i havent looked at her so closely for a while but at least its not the case for the other clownfish).

I have her for 4.5 years and she’s acting and eating normally. Other fish in the system is her buddy clownfish been together since day 1 and a lawnmower blenny with me and them for 2.5 years.

Is this anything concerning? Thanks

This is bloating and may be from constipation but I suspect this fish is egg-bound and cant/wont expel the eggs. Is there a male available or is this a sole clownfish? If sole. will be up to the fish to pass eggs or food if constipation

Thank you. Yes the other clownfish is a male, but yes she hasn’t been laying eggs for quite a while. I thought she might have just gotten stressed due to tank moves. But you think the peeling thing isnt a problem?

Its can be an issue if the swelling does not go down.

IMO - that's just a minor skin issue - possibly the two clowns have been bickering...you might not see that, as they may only do that when you aren't in the room.

More important to me is the swelling of the belly. As mentioned, that can be constipation or egg binding. Has it always been sort of "plump" like that? It could also be fat (grin).

Thanks i think she’s fine. She is always on the chunkier side and i found her having the breeding tube out this morning and they are now busy preparing the surface they used to lay eggs on. She should release them very soon
