I coulda sworn there was a thread of a long list of 3d printable STL files. Did it get deleted?

My bookmark link no longer works for that thread, and I recall some comments from the original poster about disagreements with R2R. That is too bad, since it was a nice collection of files being shared.

Oh wow. I wonder if it's worth restarting something like that.

It has been pulled due to the original member no longer being an R2R member. I think it's not entirely gone and they were looking for someone else to take it over and pulled it temporarily. Not entirely sure on that one though..

As nice as it would be, probably best not to attempt it, eventually things will get sticky with the R2R staff and you'll end up right back in this situation.

One thought is if all the items are up on thingiverse, then someone could create a collection there, and post the collection as a link, assuming they kept it up to date?

I agree with waiting it out. This was interesting timing, because I was just making some adjustments to a model that I hope to print soon and may be shared in the future once we have the thread active again.
