i had brown jelly on a goniopora a few years back. i removed the material with a tooth brush and let it soak in a peroxide dip with an antibiotic (forgot which off the top of my head).
it would be fine for a few days and come back.
i tried iodine dips with peroxide as well.
it came back after a few days.
continued doing this until the eventual loss of the coral.

got bjd on my new goni a few months ago. took a syringe with lemon juice and filled the polyp area with it for 15 seconds. then a peroxide / salt dip.

killed all the surrounding polyps but like cancer i had to be sure. hasnt been back since.

I thought Peroxide was only safe with Zoanthids.

That it would kill any coral other than Zoanthids?

Which Corals are Safe in a Peroxide Dip and Which are Not Safe?

by peroxide. i used a 50/50 mix of sw/h202. not a 100% solution. each time i did the dip i increased the length of time up to 20 minutes iirc.

lps are pretty forgiving to peroxide ime

Sorry Guys a bit late...

Here is my Treatment for the example on Acans..

All acans, whether they show the disease or not, should be placed dry in a separate container until the water drains from the polyps (this is important and usually takes about 10 minutes), then water containing the antibiotic erythromycin at the rate of 500 mg per 10 litre, added until the acans are covered. The polyps suck in the antibiotic along with the new water. Power heads or small pumps should be placed in the tank to circulate and oxygenate the water. Heaters can be added if required but do not use ozone, UV lights or activated carbon as it destroys the anti biotic. Leave the bath for 24 hours, then drain the water and repeat the process above for at least 3 days, 5 days is better. Then place the acans back in your aquarium. Usually that solves the problem but watch the acans daily and if any disease should come back retreat as above. In the United States, nitrofurazone is used instead of erythromycin with good results.

Good Luck to all who fight with this bad infection...
