Is there an ignore button?

Not sure if this is a feature on here, just curious if there's a way of ignoring certain posters-I realized it'd be a real easy way to deal with the guys who are spamming for the contests and make it much more enjoyable for forum browsing (don't get me wrong, I think the contest is great, and I understand that the spammers are actually helping R2R and all that, but I've stopped looking at threads because I hate scrolling through post after post with no information, or no new information when the same guy is posting 5 times in the same thread with "Yup, just like I said earlier, that was great!")

Correct me if i'm wrong but dont you have to have at least 50 characters to get the points for the post and you only get it on your first post for the thread? So whatever guys are posting over and over on the same thread are offenders and arent doing any good and i'm sure the mods will take care of them. Maybe this post should be in the contest thread...

Or you can click on the username, click on View Profile, then on the left side of screen, select "Add to ignore list". Either way will accomplish what you're looking for.

And didn't want to add it to the contest thread as I wasn't trying to complain about someone else to get them to stop, I just wanted to find the solution (seems a pretty good one, right?)

Yeah, I've gotta say I'm not a fan of the contest. Yes, it may draw people to the site and encourage them to post more but some are obviously abusing it, I'd hate to see this site head in the wrong direction like others have with people posting a bunch of junk. Thanks for posting this, got some blocking to do tonight!

If you ignore the person you will be the only one who can't see their post. I don't have anyone ignored but I do over on the other site. If it works the same you will still see their name bit not what they said. There will be a little link that you can click on and it will show what they said. But I don't know if the software for R2R is the same as the other site.

Hopefully you guys don't think I am slamming I just luck out the fiance likes to read before bed so I just sit on my phone and use the internet.
