My varioS6 on calcium reactor quit, after finding the price of one($375), makes me want to consider other options. i have octo calreact220 reactor that runs on this pump

Well, it ain't a return pump so IMO a.lesser.quality pump should do the trick. Didn't look at the Varios pump that closely other than noting the Max output is just north of 1700GPH. See if the Jaebo DSC 2500 ticks you boxes. I'm do not know what kind of flow you're running, I'm just concerned as to whether the DSC will perform at the flow rate you are looking for. Now, concerning quality, the Jaebo is not as reliable as your old pump, but the price is right and it's a DC pump. Jaebo make some good little pumps.

looking at pics of the reactor it really needs a specific size pump so the varios might be the only option. You could try the jebao one though and return it if it doesnt fit, just make sure to buy one that ships from and is sold by amazon

I'd look at the jebao dcp line. Those are bullet proof. I've ran 4 dcp20000 as returns on my 2 400g displays. Also modified my skimmer with a dcp10000 . You will be hard pressed to find a competitor that is built so well and cost so little.

Deltec uses the jebao pump so that should give you some understanding as to just how good they are.

I tried this jebao dct-4000, its close but not close enough. I'm just wishing that if I find same size, that I can just spin front end of the pump to new pump, since it has to be specific to this calcium reactor plumbing

It's probably metric pvc if your issue is thread or diameter.
