Is this a skimmer?

A while back I bought a gang of stuff from a guy for pretty cheap, and I got this little guy in it, to me it looks like a skimmer without the collection cup, any help would be great! Should I assume this thing is worthless? Is there anything I do to make some use out of it? Thank you guys!

That actually looks like a media reactor and is not worthless at all. Not too sure but you could definitely use it as a media reactor if you wanted too.

Oh man! Thank you so much! I was hoping it was something other than a skimmer, I got a red sea berlin triple pass and a turbofloater with all this stuff and the last thing i needed was another skimmer. I actually do have a seaclown skimmer modded and it surprisingly works like a champ (though I replaced it with a bak pak (not a fan).

I figure I can rig something up for the top of it to make into a reactor (I have no idea what they do or how they work) So i'll have to be doing a little research. Thank you so much for your quick response!

After looking at it more I think it actually is a hang on the back skimmer without a collection cup. In the picture where the bottom is, is there a big whole like where a cup would go?

yes there is, which is why i was thinking it was a skimmer, it looked like a skimmer without the collection cup...and there's two clips for air tubes at the clamp.
