so basically my goby has this white spot on the side of it and i realy cant identify if its an infection or a bite mark. The only thing is that it is becoming more visibale. But i have been treating it with anti infection for about 2 days dipping the goby for 20 mins and putting it back in qt tank hope you can identify it

That does look like an injury to me. If it grows in size or turns reddish I’d treat with kanaplex, metroplex, and furan 2 in quarantine for 10-14 days. This mix of antibiotics covers a wide spectrum. :)

I

I have a yellow tang another goby a foxface rabbitfish a blue tang and 2 ocellaris clowns
Could potentially be a tang’s tail swipe. I treated my injured Wrasse with what @4FordFamily recommended. It healed well.

The same type but the sick one in the pic always chased the other one in the tank so i always thought that it was the other goby that should have been hurt but instead its the one in the pic that has the bite mark

That's why I was asking. My aggressor ended up MIA. The victim became the victor.

Funny/not so funny thing my purple fire fish had the same kind of wound. Mine looked more like a crab pincer got him. But it could have been anything honestly. I just monitored it and did a water change or two and it healed up fine.

Do you have any crabs?

Yeah it's hard to say, does he sleep in a tight spot with sharp edges. I would just keep an eye out for tank aggression, cause if that's the case then stress will inhibit the healing process a bit. The others tend to prey on the weak.
