Is this Brown Jelly on my Hammer Coral?
Please see the attached Pictures.
They are kind of Dark because I used an I-Phone and the Pictures do not come out good.
Here is the Back story.
The Frags were cut from a Large FrogSpawn Colony many Months ago.
They were Bleached White because they were on the Bottom of the Colony and my LFS said to keep them out of the Light or they would die from shock of too much Light.
They are in my Frag Tank which is a 20 Long (30 X 12 X12).
It is Lit by a Single Kessil A150 Ocean Blue 15K LED which is only 32 Watts.
Originally, I kept them covered partly under the Live Ledge that you see behind them in the Picture.
After about a Month they Colored Up a Little so I moved them out from under the Rock Ledge but still at the very edge of the Tank so they got the Least amount of Light.
They have been there for a Week or so.
Today when I came home from work I noticed a Brown Ring around some of them at the Edge of the Skeleton where the Polyp comes out.
I was very concerned as I had heard of Brown Jelly Disease but never had in any of my Aquariums.
I turned the Lights on and the Polyps came out.
This picture was just taken about 3.5 Hours after I turned the Lights on from getting back to work.
I heard that Brown Jelly travels fast from Coral to Coral (LPS anyways) so I am very worried.
So my question is is that Algae that formed on the Skeleton that was getting no Light or is it Brown Jelly.
Hopefully you see what I am talking about but the Pics are not great quality.
Thanks in advance everyone.
