Is this Bryopsis? Or something else?

New tank going through initial ugly phase. This stuff is growing on rocks, sand, but also covering the glass. The appearance and growth pattern is unlike the usual surface and hair algae that was present in my other two tanks.

I looked at a bunch of different photos of various algaes but it doesn’t quite match anything I’ve seen so far.

It looks a lot like what I have growing in my tank right now. Is is brown? I thought mine might be bryopsis too, but everything I've seen says that bryopsis is green.

Yes, it’s more of a brown color, definitely not green. Very unusual algae (or whatever it is) as the strands are sort of tree like and attach themselves to glass.
