Yeah I guarantee it's flow. It needs pretty high flow to keep it clean. Try to shake some of that stuff out and turn the flow up. It should bounce back pretty quick with that amount in there.
I cleaned it and it actually looks as small as it was when I got it. I followed all the steps other tubers used for theirs so it’s frustrating I didn’t have the same results 2 weeks in.

My light crapped on me. When I got back into town I was down to red slime & few golf ball size portions. I threw a shop light with a 6500k flood light on it. I cleaned the slime off the top for a few weeks and within a month I'm all chaeto again. My po4 is under .2 but the rest if pretty close

If you wanna try again I’ll send you some if you’d like. It might have some small bristle worms in it. I should be close to harvesting again mid next week.
