Is this Chaeto safe to leave in fuge

Received my order from AB, and the bag with the chaeto leaked during shipment. There was a grayish crust on one side of the chaeto. I let AB know and they are sending a replacement. Is it safe to leave in or should I trash it?

Hi there! While some of it is still on the green side go a head and trash it! It is well on its way out the door of being dead.

Put it in a separate container and see how it does. I kept chaeto and water in a ziplock bag for several months! The bag was closed and it was in my sump so it held temp and got light, but no flow.

Just take out the grey parts . That’s what I did and still alive/growing In my fuge.
