Hey guys. Have done 3 day black out but they coming back. Is it dinoflagellates

Are those little snot like bubbles I see? If so, those are dinos. :(

Yes come back when lights on . My light are turned down and only running 6hrs a day

You can beat dinos, but you have to be religious about the 3 day lights out thing. Do it once a month, every month. Cover the outside glass with black garbage bags to keep out even ambient light. It may take a few months (or even longer), but eventually you will win the war. :)

? When was the last time you changed you rodi filters. The only time I see this type is when I get lazy on changing my filters. I have them now but are going away since I changed my filters last week.

Dose hydrogen peroxide at a rate on 10ml/day in addition to lights out. I had an outbreak several months ago. This in conjunction with running nano bubbles, I got rid of dinos and cyano both.

That's good thing that your getting an RODI system but I hope you know that's not the fix to the problem. I've beaten Dino in 2 different tanks. I'll give you the info tomorrow and what I did, 3 days and it was gone for me on the 2 tanks. I had knee surgery today or I'd get it to you now.

I will share with you guys, just alittle out of now, lol also after doing this treatment they have never shown their ugly little selfs again.

Thanks fl_reefer. I live in Australia my tanks 370L the dinos are not out of control the 3 day blackout did work but still there. Really dont want to use hydrogen peroxide. The filter im using is very good but though i better get a rodi system just to be sure thats not the sorce
