Little piece inside my protein skimmer looks a little worse for wear. Does anyone this this could be a problem?

I'm worried about metal leeching into the system.

Thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can find the part.
That's the other problem. SOmetimes you need to buy a new pump if the housing is also out of whack?

A quick search suggested antimony and /or heavy metals can be released from impellers. >>????

Sicce SK-200 is the pump for the curve 5 elite by bubble magus. Looks like aquacave.com has one for $40
Check the actual plastic pump housing; the circular part that houses that magnetic impeller…

If there’s a crack in the plastic of the pump housing itself in there, the pump requires replacement!

Good call. I'll double check.
