I got this frag about a month ago and took a pic on Oct 26 after It was in the tank for a week. I took another picture today making this 3 weeks worth of growth. Do you think this is fast or slow just wondering if this is the normal growth rate for this species.

The base has grown a bit but it also looks to have algea covering the front corner.

What are your parameters?

A paly was bothering it and killed off some but I cut it yesterday so I'm hoping it comes back. This is a relatively new coral so i dont expect much. My alk sits around 10 and my calcium sits around 420 I've been using kalk and they dont change much so I dont really stress it.

Wow I like the colors on that one. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how fast mine goes.

It can take a month or 2 for some Coral to become "acclimated" to it's new home before growth starts.

Very true I've had sps not grow at all for a couple months and then boom off they go. That's y I said it's new so I didnt expect much. This has been about a month now so it may just be getting acclimated. I've never had experience with this species tho so I wanna see how it does in other reefers tanks.

So how much would you say it grows in a 3 week period because I'm seeing mabye a mm or 2
I wouldn't expect much after 3 weeks. Looks healthy and it seemed to have grown back from being disturbed by the palys.

Keep taking monthly pictures and in 6 months you'll see a difference between the pictures you posted in the 1st post.
