Is this normal

I bought this frag during the wwc sale. It’s a Jason Fox Hi-Voltage Platygyra. The sweeper tentacles stay out like this constantly. They might retract some. I thought it might be dead but I took it out to clean some algae off and they went all the way in then came back out when I but it back in the water.

Can't see well in the pic but my platys often have their feeders tentacles extended. Especially if there is particulate in the water.

I just thought it was odd they are constantly out. My other corals mostly come out at night.

Seems random. I have 3. Sometimes they all have feeders out. Sometimes just one.
