I walked into my lfs today and saw 2 pectinas, one was just neon green but the other looked differant, I walked up closer to it and I liked the color pattern so I bought it. It was in kinda rough shape on 1 eye, head, mouth(whatever it is on a pectina),but it should recover.
I was wondering if this pectina common and I got excited over nothing?

I think it looks sweet- not sure if it's common, and also not sure why it being common would make you less excited- it's a cool looking coral.

Didnt mean to make it sound like that, but Austin is right.

I like rare things. But dont get me wrong, if something is common and has cool colors I will buy it. But, I would rather have a rare thing over a common one...I guess it is the "collector" in me taking over, lol.

Lol- I get that, I'm a coral collector as much as anything else. I just got confused, cause I looked at the pics and saw it was really sweet, then read where you said something about being disappointed if it wasn't rare, and I'm thinking "that's a sweet piece, why on earth would he be disappointed in it?" lol.

Never seen one quite like that one before. Very nice for a Pectinia.

very nice! I picked up one last week and love it, they are pretty rare, dont see them in the hobby much. In the wild they are semi-common
