Is this reef safe

So when I frag mushrooms and put them in my frag box, they fall off of the frag plugs and find a super small hole to slide out of. Can I use this with a rubber band to form a “net” over the frag plug so they don’t fall off. I just want to check if it’s reef safe. TIA.

I like the concept, however I would be concerned with the red dye.
