Hi I have a galaxia coral that is turning white at the base. The polyps are still neon green and extending. I haven’t moved him recently.

Rtm is rapid tissue necrosis. Is the tissue dieing off fast or slow? Fast is rtn slow is stn.

Oh it only affects sps? The base tissue is clearly white and appears to be receding , strange

What would cause it to start bleaching?
Lol it isnt bleaching... bleaching is totally different. It is losing its tissue so stn, it is most likely from your tank not having good enough parameters to keep it alive, something eating at it, etc therefore its now dieing.

I have two sps corals, lepto, that are doing fine and all other lps are also fine, could it be from lack of light? I moved him in a corner a few weeks ago because of his stingers.

Wasn’t sure on difference between bleach and stn, Sorry still learning! Which is why I Am asking

In my experience galaxea love light but are certainly finicky and ince they go bad its hard to stop it. Try putting it in a higher light higher flow area.

No numbers for nutrients? But since you have lps that isnt much of a concern as they like dirtier water regardless.
