Imo, at this stage you cannot count on cuc to fix your problem by themselves (unless you got an absurd amount and then you have a different problem post cleanup). You have gets your hands dirty and manually remove. Add cuc to help but not fix. Gha is not as bad as other nuisances tho so you can do it with effort (imo). Good luck!

Ps. I'd brush all the surfaces clean. Water will be a mess. Then do a big water change (3/4) to suck it all up. Your fish will be fine as long as they're healthy, stressed, sure, move gently. Then stuff back chambers w filter floss or put in socks and fill it up and let the flow push the rest down to those filters. Swap those out as needed. In one afternoon you could be lookin 90% better... Again just my opinion and again... Good luck :)
