Is this trim a match to the flooring?

Just what the title says, does the trim piece match the flooring? It was ordered to be the same color.

Is the trim wrapped in plastic or something? It looks shiny. If it’s not in plastic, then I do not think they match

I had the same "issue" when I redid my floors. The "matching" trim sold by the manufacturer looked slightly different to me. Once it was installed it is very hard to tell the difference.

it is in plastic, but the plastic does not affect the color (I compared to an area that the plastic was torn open on).

It looks different to me also. The transition is Bluish (cool color) and my floors have yellow/brown colors (warm colors).

it is the end cap that caps off the floor at the doorways.

This was not the correct trim, so hopefully the correct ones will match better.
