Is thread Reef Safe?

I’m thinking of options to tie down a big Kenya Tree cutting to get it to attach to a frag base. From my experience glue never works. I have this lying around - think it’s reef safe? If not I can buy some fishing line.

my tank is so small i dont have a good spot for the rubble basket. If I got one that fit the kenya tree would barely fit into it.
