Cuz mine sounds like this:

But my Nero 3 is dead silent. Do I need to contact the retailer?
I've already tried opening it up and cleaning it out/realigning it. And the noise is the same. I can hear it from over 6 feet away from the tank lol.
But I can't tell if it's because of the size or if its actually defective? I'm kind of sus'd because the controller was slightly scratched/marred, but I wasn't gonna fuss about it if the actually powerhead was fine.

I have 3 nero5 and they are almost dead silent. There is definitely something wrong with it or a problem with assembly

Ah ****. Ok thanks.
I'll email the retailer now then. Sad times.

you did remove the cover and check to make sure it was clean correct? They do build up some gunk, short of that and I would definitely reach out to them

Yes. But it’s brand new.
like, arrived from the store 3 days ago and just put it on the tank <12 hours ago.

I took it apart to see if anything was there and it was clean, and nothing looked misaligned or deformed to me.
