Love the custom lid option by @ArtFully Acrylic as I have been informed by my wife that if I got a rimless tank that it would need a cover. For some reason she doesn't like the idea of an open top.

Lol @Scubafrog. Spouses also seem to really like the Aesthetics of the Clearview lids over standard aluminum frames .

I've got young children so Tamper Resistant is the way to go. They can be hard to insert but I'm really only plugging in a surge protector once.

While liquid nails sets its time to switch out plug to a GFCI receptacle.
The tools I'll use:
Test each outlet first to insure they're functioning now and wired correctly before I open.
These receptacle checkers are great for this.

Make sure the cut wire is not exposed:
connected hot, neutral, and ground. Gently fold it back in the housing and even the outlet.
...and since nothing is ever easy the little white screws are missing. Yay.

Found some screws. Turned on breaker and tested. GFCI receptacles have to be reset.
