I got this Bejeweled Favia a little over a month ago. Although is grown down the side of the plug some since I got it, I’ve noticed it’s leaving small holes in its flesh that the rock it’s on are poking through. It’s obviously not totally happy, but I’m not sure the reason.

For comparison here is a pic a I got it.

and
and here it is today

It’s on the bottom where most of my blastos, micromussa and other favia are, which are all doing great. It gets about 110 par under hydra 26HD’s

parameters are:
1.026 SG
460 ca
8.5 dKH
1370 magnesium
.05-.08 phosphate
20 nitrate

I feed the corals directly few times a week with reef roids, and LRS reef frenzy. I also dose Red Sea Reef Energy AB+ daily.

Any ideas? It’s not totally dying but it’s obviously not as happy as it was. Only thing I can think is lighting, but 110 PAR Should be fine for this.

that's a beautiful piece! I don't have an answer, but maybe some of the #LPSexperts will chime in
