I’m having some issues balancing out my nutrients. My Mag is consistent at 1470 my Alk is 7.7 and Ca2 is at 500. I am tryin to reduce my Ca2 with it being high. I only dose Kalk and Mag. When I decrease my kalk it seems to lower my Alk and not my Ca2. I’m kinda at the lowest I want my Alk and I don’t want to decrease the kalk to make my Alk to low. How do I resolve this issue?

Calcium (symbol is Ca, or Ca++ or Ca2+) is fine at 500 ppm, and I would not be trying too hard to lower it.

Kalkwasser does dose very slightly more calcium than the balanced amount of alk, and calcium can slowly rise if you use it to maintain alk.

I managed that with normal water changes.

Do you do regular water changes?

What’s a calcium kit?

Whatever you used to get the 500 ppm calcium in the first post.

There are explanations aside from the kalk, and salinity too high is one of them.
