Issues with shipment form Online Vendor

I would just dispute it with you CC company as an item not received. I went through something similar recently. A maxima wasn't shipped because of poor health. It just happened to be the most expensive piece in the order and they wanted to offer store credit vs a refund. A refund is the only resolution acceptable to me. They didn't have a problem shipping a gaping crocea that died in less than 24 hrs and a Derasa with PMD that died in less than a week even tho I tried saving it with a FWD so I'm not sure why I would want a store credit as I'll never purchase from them again. End of story I'm eating the cost of the crocea and derasa because technically they arrived alive even tho they were on deaths door step. They said they refunded the cost of the maxima but I have yet to see the credit appear so I'll probably have to dispute it. Sorry your having to deal with this.

What’s super funny in all of this is that I am willing to be super flexible and take the credit without a fuss and order more stuff from them in the process and they’re not even coming up to do the honorable thing.

We all make mistakes. But as a vendor and a big one at that, you would think they would be more reasonable.

Did you receive 1 less coral than expected or was the torch replaced with something you didn't order? Any chance one of the DOA corals was actually the torch which are sensitive shippers?

Its called chargeback and you simply call them and tell them you did not get what you paid for and they will do an online form and issue you back a temporary refund until case is resolved

I'm speculating but if it's who in think it is they are really going down the toilet. Some of the things they are doing lately border on criminal IMO

This was a $400 torch that was not included in the shipment.

The DOA corals were a cynarina and an acro mini colony. Those two together amounted to $125. So altogether I am out $525.

There really is not excuse.

I am not even arguing with them about the DOA items. The missing torch on the other hand they can’t blame on UPS.

Regardless of what happened, they are playing the hand incorrectly. Even if you did get it, and are lying, they should still be trying to work with you to get a positive outcome. They will never know where it is, but to eat a torch head to keep a customer happy is a no brainer.

I’m currently going through this problem with a tang I ordered. The vendor has an arrive alive guarantee but they’re claiming not their fault it’s UPS issue. I know that when you do overnight you automatically get insurance provided so my refund shouldn’t be an issue.
There are multiple service providers and they chose UPS so they should refund my money.

Also, if it’s who I think it is, do NOT accept store credit. Everyone has been having huge issues with them over the past several months. They sent me replacements for my doa’s that did not arrive healthy, made substitutions for a 3 figure chalice that they said they didn’t have in stock to send and then dropped a flash sale the day after the replacement corals arrived and had the exact same chalice in the sale. I am beyond done ordering from them.
IF it’s who I think it is. And I know we are all thinking it’s the same vendor.
Don’t mention the name here but DO Put a review up in the vendor review thread ASAP. That is literally the only way any of us have ever gotten a resolution from them. If you don’t put them on blast, they’ll give you the run around.

I have tried telling this story for months and now it started happening to multiple people. The story is the same. If you look at their threads, they are now going unresponded by members. They think what they are doing is ok and only benefits them. They will eventually go away, or continue to fraud people because they believe they are that good to fool R2R.

Been thinking and this almost sounds like this was a set up, especially after hearing it was a $400 coral missing. Has anyone else had a vendor send an image of thier order before it was sealed for shipping? I have not. Its almost like they are gearing up to have evidence of the item being shipped, even tho an image pre shipping means nothing really. I think they are depending on people to just roll over and submit to their tactics. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they are trying to generate as much revenue as possible before closing up shop. Just my thoughts with no evidence to back it.
R2R really should re-evaluate them as a sponser, if it is who I think it is. Not everyone reads these type of threads but see a banner on the screen and thinks they are a stand up vendor because R2R is advertising them.

Exactly my thought!! However, I believe they think they are smart enough to not violate any vendor rules on R2R.

Yep thievery is perfectly fine as long as it goes on elsewhere. I'm sure there are some legalities that R2R has to follow but allowing a person to air they concerns and the vendor respond in an open forum should be allowed.
Sorry R2R the vendor feedback forum is not an open discussion IMO

The only thing we as a community can do is actually call out these vendors and not shop their business anymore. I’m hoping where I bought my fish will do the right thing but as a consumer when I’m lied to my only recourse is to call them to the mat. If it means naming them on here then I’ll do so. Conduct business right and everyone will give a thumbs up. If not there are consequences.

Well, looking at the vendor review thread the OP posted, it is exactly who we all thought it was which is TELLING. Much of what I order from them arrives in needs saving condition.

I just posted in another thread giving them a shout out for my torch. Now with everything that’s been going on with them I don’t think I want to chance it again. Sucks that it’s gotten this bad. Sorry for the inconvenience you’re going through.

Yeah they got one more shot with me, I can only conclude they got loads of customers who spend a few grand a year…we all must be disposable

I know It sucks these complaints get silo’d into a restricted venue but OTOH it’s a poor business model trying to soliciting vendors if widespread abusive feedback is allowed…

Like I just said this feedback thing is so corrupted anymore, no telling the shills, from the AI bots, from legit customers from competitors with a beef… Im not sure what forum mods are to do but collect the cheese from these vendors until bad business culls them out

Your right it would most likely end up a fiasco. I suppose for R2R it's the darned if you do darned if you don't scenario.
All we can do as individuals is boycott and hope for a heavy dose of karma to come around to the vendor.
