Gave the wrasse away, figure the nudis should all be gone now. It will be a lot easier to manage without daily feeding. I will take out the little skimmer now as it shouldn't be needed. The sps have not been happy past week, been hard to manage keeping the 6 line fat and happy the nutrients have been all over the place. Suspect will lose a couple acro, but was either that or lose the monties. However the rock nems seem happy.

Just wanted to add the little clam is still good. He never did attach to anything, but has white growth and must be happy if growing for 6 weeks in the system today. Little clams die so fast that I am somewhat amazed. I used to have a lot of them in my 120 but picked up a disease and killed them all. Have not had luck in any system since. Ironic a 3g tank shows the most progress of my favorite reef animal.

ORA maxima clam. It's maybe 1.5" give or take. Found it at petco.... so I knew it was tough!

Thanks, I've one at 1" and has the scoots however has blue and black mantle. I'm not as good at taking photos though as they come out too blue from my iPhone

Yeah everything looks fine so I guess it's fine.

When you ordered the nems from kpaquatics, did you go with priority or overnight shipping?

I did overnight shipping. They are tough and I normally would not have worried about priority with the temps at the time, but when spending that much money I figured error on the side of caution.

Looks like a cute maxima. If I don't use white balance I will just move my LEDs to be more white before taking a picture.

I should do an update, several baby rock nems, at least 3, in the sand. They look orange. Also at least 2 on the rock as well. Makes it so I can't really stir the gravel, but that is just how it goes.

Things are stabilizing now that I don't have to feed the fish everyday, took the skimmer and peroxide doser out, and just have a bag of carbon and gfo in the UV HOB.

For quite a while the clam was on the sand, and seemed to be doing well but I really would like for him to get more light so I don't have to run the kessil quite so high as there isn't much need for those coral at the top to get blasted so much, but the little clam always get knocked out of the clam cradle at the top.

I cut a round specimen cup that I got a frag in down to maybe 1/3" tall, keep in mind these are small cups, 1.5" in diameter at most. I glued it to the rockwork at the top on a frag disk to anchor it, put sand in the .33" tall cup for the clam to sit in. So far been working great. Seems to like the sand and being so close to the kessil I don't have to blast everything else. It's not quite as pretty, but coralline will eventually cover the cup and honestly the clam is #1 and I will keep this tank up for it's entire life I love clams so much.

He also has a great deal of white growth and starting a new ridge on the shell, so at least he is doing well!

Not a lot to report. Have some nice visible growth on SPS, clam still has good growth. I have adjusted the kalk, right now it's about 1/3 saturated. I did add some pods and rubble from GARF a while back, it came with chaeto that I just keep in behind the rock. However I decided to remove the UV hob until needed again, and replace with an aquaclear 70 that I will put the macro in and light with kessil H80. HOB have terrible salt creep, but seems to be worth it. I panted the aquaclear black with fusion except the part of the lid that will have the light down into it. I was going to mount the light on the back of the aquaclear, and spent good time taping it all off and making it nice... then painted the inside of the filter! I was so excited to pull the tape off to reveal a great masking job, and internal paint! So lid it is!

Hopefully no dinos come back with the removal of the UV hob, but will just have to see. Hoping the fuge will let me feed the tank a bit more, the nems really like getting food.

I think it turned out pretty well have ac30 impeller to drop in for less flow. Still would have been nice to have the light on the back of the aquaclear but silly me.

All seems to be working well. Not done tidying cords and the ac30 impeller arrives today but the chaeto was lit and looked good last night.

My quest to make the world's most expensive pico continues, hahaha.
