have this for almost 3 weeks now....and since day 1 i placed it in a shaded area and been doing good...would like to know if it will be fine if i put it in the open?i dont dare to try yet as i dont wanna bleach it..
any advice will greatly appreciated...

I keep mine in the open but low in my 120 gal tank, med flow. I run 2 / 120watt leds for lighting.

I had mine in the open about 18" under 4x54 T5s for a while, and it did fine. However, it's started to look much better and grown a bunch since I've moved it to the shade. I personally think this piece prefers low light, but it's very hardy (and a good grower) so move it around if you like.

i have 2x250w mh..with ati t5 blue plus...and my tank is 18 high,my fixture is probably around 10" from water surface...
