This is the thread for my reefer 170 mixed reef. It has been running for about 3 months and I cycled the rocks in a brute trash can with half a cube of misis shrimp daily for 2 and a half months. I have a small euphyllia garden, 2 acan colonies, a birds nest frag, and a red Montipora cap frag so far.

I got my tank used for 650 CAD used in really good condition. Picked up a hydra 32 and hms arm and a reef octopus 110 sss for 150 dollars. I have a Nero 5 for flow and a syncra silent 3.0 pump for flow. I know the livestock will bother a lot of people but I am upgrading in about 6-8 months. I have a baby zebra Morey eel (10 inches) purple tank(1 inch) blue eyed bristle tooth tang (1 inch)

This is when I put a refugium in my sump and the cheato growth after only 3 days
Quarantine quarantine quarantine! Keep aiptasia, vermetid snails, bubble algae out of your tank at all costs. The time/effort/money you spend trying to fix the issue will significantly outweigh the effort you put into quarantining. AND you may never get rid of it completely once introduced!

That is nice growth in 3 days. What bulb are you using ? Looks like a nice build.

Hi,

Stopped by and saw the tank. Is that all Coraline on the rock, wow and sump set up. Looks great.
